Place your bets, place your bets!!

Well,  we finally have some clarity on when we'll finally get to meet Kellan and Gage.  But first, we had a great weekend.

We "Facetimed" with Nama, Poppa, Clay, Caid and Kylie on Saturday night.  Unfortunately Murphy (who's staying with Nama and Poppa) has been tortured by having to wear UT clothing.  Poppa swears that it was Nama's idea....

Then on Sunday, Lyndsay got to take a wheelchair ride down to the "Serenity Garden".  Basically it's a garden area around 30 feet by 30 feet with some flowers and a stream-  but for Lyndsay who's been on bedrest for the past 8 1/2 weeks-  it was great to just be outside for a few minutes.  Here's some pics we took in the garden...

Complete side note here, but just in case you've been wondering where she's been lately...

Now on to the "Baby Watch 2011" update.  As I mentioned in the previous post-  Gage and Kellan could come any day now.  Lyndsay is getting ultrasounds every other day, and based on the results- the doctor may want to go ahead and deliver them that day.  I heard Kellan tell Gage that their plan is to go ahead and make their way tomorrow (7/19)-  that's apparently a really important date to them.  If however, they don't come sooner-  the doctors have already said that for sure they would be delivered at or around 34 weeks, meaning next Wed, Thurs or Friday.  Needless to say, Lyndsay and I are very excited to have a definite timeframe.  We can't wait to meet them!

I've updated the poll on the front page-  please take a moment and make a guess as to what day you think they will be delivered.  Any day at this point is as good of a guess as any.  One thing for certain Lyndsay and I have found out in this process-  we have no clue what our kids schedules are-  so don't ask us!  :)

So you're saying there's a chance?

I love that line from Dumb and Dumber!  The past few days have become clear that there's a really good chance that Gage and Kellan may be here sooner than later.  Lyndsay is having ultrasounds twice a week.  We are hoping for as much time as possible before they do come, but as they are on their own schedule, we are preparing ourselves for the possibility of them making their entrance.  They've been having good heart tracings, and show every sign of being healthy babies.  So, in the event that they do come soon, we are cautiously optimistic of welcoming two healthy boys to our family.

We appreciate everyone's continued prayers.  If there are any pools going as to what date it will be, the boys seems to be leaning towards July 19th.  That's a good day.  A lot of good men have been born on that day...  I'm just saying!

A quick update...

Lyndsay had another ultrasound yesterday.  She'll be getting two a week from now until Kellan and Gage get here.  Kellan weighed 3 lbs 0 ounces and Gage weighed 3 lbs 9 ounces.  They both performed well in their Biophysical Profile tests.  That's basically where they check for things like movement, practice breathing, muscle tone, heart rate and amniotic fluid.  They will continue to monitor Kellan's weight.  Preferrably he would weigh a little bit closer to Gage-  but that's the challenge with Monochorionic/Diamniotic twins (I'll let you Google that one!).  If you could, maybe say an extra prayer for Kellan.

They performed the Fetal Intelligence Quotient Test yesterday and both score in the 97th percentile (that's just below Baby Mensa).

We have a fun filled weekend planned at the hospital.  Anyone with suggestions for boredom, feel free to leave us a comment.  :)

A quick update while watching Love in the Wild on CBS, please, please bring NFL football back this fall!!

We had a great 4th of July weekend.  It was a quiet weekend with no surprises from Gage and Kellan.  Lyndsay had a special visitor on Monday....

Kobe:  Just making his rounds...

Monday night we were able to see the Downtown fireworks...

Lyndsay will be 31 weeks tomorrow!!  We appreciate everyone's continued prayers.

Happy 4th of July!!

Okay, we're getting the 4th of July message out of the way early because we're taking a break from the blog for the weekend.  If something changes with Lyndsay we'll update the page, but hopefully it will be an uneventful weekend.

Lyndsay had an ultrasound today.  Kellan and Gage are looking good.  The ultrasound tech actually had to wake Gage up because he kept trying to fall asleep while she was looking things over with him.  That's really strange to think that they can actually watch him falling asleep.  Apparently he likes to nap in the afternoons like his momma.  They didn't take any measurements today.  The last measurements they did this past Friday, Kellan was 2lbs, 11 ounces and Gage was 2lbs, 15 ounces.

We'll be missing all of our Lake Peeps this weekend, but I brought in some Roman Candles to shoot off in Lyndsay's room on Monday.

Happy 4th!

30 Weeks Today!

Lyndsay is 30 weeks along today!  Given where we were at this past Thursday, this is a huge milestone for the pregnancy.  Every day at this point is a blessing, but the next big milestone we hope to achieve is to get to 32 weeks.

Several people have asked for some ultrasound pics-  but we decided to do one better.  Below is an Artist rendering of Gage and Kellan.  I know these look like the exact same picture, but keep in mind that they are identical twins.

No news is good news...

Very boring day today-  Lyndsay's biggest issue to deal with today was that Maury wasn't showing Paternity tests results.  She swears that she can guess correctly 60% of the time, every time (you Anchorman fans will get that one).  She won't tell me her secret, but she swears by it.  Maybe one day she'll get a job as a Baby Daddy Analyst.

Here's a pic of her view now-  we'll at least get to see some fireworks if she makes it that long...
